i am convinced that Eliot knows adrenaline enough to know that he has to break Hardison’s anxiety spiral to get his mind able to work on the problem. and what better way to bring down his panic than to run it through the familiar, almost-always-a-joke-these-days playground of “Eliot why is your solution always to punch things??? Here are three more elegant solutions to the problem and two of them I just invented on the spot!”

I honestly can’t make up my mind if that is a clever ruse to get Hardison in gear or if that actually is Eliot’s go to solution for technological problems.
