For everyone selling on Etsy- offsite ads are now up and running which means that Etsy might be advertising your products on Facebook, Bing, etc. If you make a sale from one of these ads, there will be a 15% advertising fee applied to that purchase. That’s on top of Etsy’s regular fees.
Everyone is automatically signed up for this “feature” even if you are not running an ad campaign inside Etsy. If you make less than $10K per year you need to opt out of this program in order to avoid the fees.
This is the link to opt-out, since it isn’t listed anywhere on the regular marketing page.

Etsy announced this a month ago hoping that people would get angry and then forget about it by the time they enabled the option to turn them off. If you know anyone who sells on Etsy, remind them to go opt-out.
