I once had a hairdresser cry because I wanted her to cut my waist-length hair up to my chin. She swore I’d regret it. I didn’t. I had inches and inches of dead ends, and cutting my hair was a lot safer an option for me than cutting my wrists. Hair grows back. Hair can be expression. Cut it, dye it, straighten it, perm it… If you don’t like it, cut it again and start over.
Yep. Cut, dyed - I’m sick of people telling me what to do with my hair, and people telling me I should be happy with my hair its natural colour, because ‘so many people pay money to get it that colour’. Yeah? Good for them. They can fucking have it.
