and like….Jace is doing a really bad job of hiding it, too. Hunched over at the bar staring into his drink while everyone else is all giddy and happy. Dude. You are fooling no one. (that did piss me off a little, because obviously no one is supposed to go ‘look you are Not Okay’ yet, but he was telegraphing distress and Not Okay-ness, and I refuse to believe that Alec wouldn’t have gone up to him and poked and prodded and asked until Jace caved because MY PARABATAI RUNE VANISHED AND I FELT YOU DIE WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO? And I get that it’s For The Plot but you can’t make these characters absolutely emotionally blind to each other when they’re supposed to be so close)
