“Cassian. This droid was badly programmed. He is damaging Alliance property.”
“Give it a rest, would you?”
“This is the third time he ran into me in a week, Cassian.”
“And this is the fifth time you’ve informed me.”
“I think his visual scanning is off. You need to fix him, Cassian. Nobody else will.”
“Kay. Let it go.”
“But he is damaging Alliance property and he will not let anyone reason with him. I don’t understand why nobody thinks this is relevant.”
Cassian sighs. “Dameron programmed him like this on purpose, Kay.”
“But why?”
The spy takes a few deep breaths and gives the small orange droid a little nudge to move him out of the way. “Because he makes the boy laugh, Kay.”
