I don’t know how many boys follow me, but I gotta bet there’s some. I just wanna tell y’all to be careful.

Abusive girls exist and what they’re doing is seen as like “badass tough don’t take no shit” but your girl should not hit you. Ever.

She should not demand for you to hand over your phone to look through.

She should not yell at you and humiliate you either alone or in front of people.

She shouldn’t make you distance yourself from your friends or family.

She shouldn’t scratch you or twist your arms.

She should not call you names.

She shouldn’t tell you ‘she’ll kill herself if you break up’

These are just a few examples of abuse and it’s just seen as okay when girls do it and god knows I’ve fallen victim to it a few times, but you shouldn’t have to.

Never worry about not being in a relationship. If they’re worth it, they won’t hurt you.

No one has the right to hurt you.

I wish someone had told me that these things are actually abuse. I would have been able to escape my ex so much sooner. Reblogging to help other people in similar situations

Same

Sometimes, it’s hard to identify abuse, especially when it’s what you learned to accept from someone you are supposed to trust, like a parent.

That’s where I learned that the abuse women inflict on men is supposed to be acceptable. That if you speak out against it or complain, it means you are a weak man. Hut, it is a weak man who doesn’t speak out. It is a weak person who accepts the abuse of another.

I became stronger by learning what tactics women use to abuse others, because it is not just done to men. And I speak up when I see abuse, whether perpetrated by a male or a female. Abuse should not be tolerated.

Who was Adam Young’s infernal mother????  Like was there some demoness who got a really important job or did Satan go to some random human woman like “hey wanna be the evil Mother Mary?”??  Or did he create Adam by like….budding or something?

yeah i’ve been thinking about it a lot too

What’s your fucking problem??

If you don’t like his music, you don’t have to listen.

oh.  oh my god.  I’m so sorry

I 100% can’t tell if you’re joking or not but we’re not talking about Adam Young the American singer and songwriter behind Owl City

We’re talking about Adam Young the fictional antichrist from the 1990 British absurdist comedy novel Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett

Isn’t this the same kind of mistake the Nuns made?

This is still my favorite interaction on any Good Omens post I’ve made because it makes me wonder how many other poor confused Owl City fans have stumbled onto Good Omens posts about Adam Young but have been too tactful to say anything

so nobody’s gonna elaborate on that nun comment…?

Nah.

we’re keeping nun

just go see an ob-gyn

Help me ob-gyn kenobi, you’re my only hope.

She needed more midwife-clorians.

I really hope everyone reblogging this followed the link and read the article, because it’s larger point is really good“Reproductive health and childbirth is a crutch, and Lucas gets away with it because his audience accepts that these things are mysterious and cannot be intervened with the way that that the loss of limbs can be remedied with robot prosthetics, or the way Luke can be rescued from near-death on Hoth by being submerged in a bacta tank. Having babies is worse than being mauled by a wampa ice creature or being chopped up by lightsabers and falling into a river of lava. Lucas can write a world like that, and worse, the audience will accept it.But uteruses aren’t made of malignant magic. Women’s bodies are real physical things that can be studied and understood and when necessary, cured. ”

IDK about everyone else, but I’ve actually been certified as a doula and childbirth educator and worked in women’s health media for most of a decade. All points valid, but “Help me OB-GYN Kenobi” broke me.

And this is how you can tell a story was written by men because pre-natal healthcare never even occurred to the writer. Women’s insides are a mysterious and magical place that no man either can fathom, or just just not want to think about, so in stories like this they just handwave it away as” dying in childbirth”.

Help me, OB-GYN Kenobi.

Personally I never got over the robot in this scene who’s like “it’s as if she’s just…..given up” like in this setting a literal piece of scientific medical equipment hadn’t so much as even a hypothesis as to what medical issue could have been killing her. Who programmed this. Why do they keep using it.
