England, 1979. The wizard known as The Dark Lord and his followers have all but ravaged the country and are at open war with the Ministry of Magic. Officials are desperately trying to keep the battle hidden from the muggle population, more and more of which are falling victim to torture and outright sadistic murder every day.
Within the Investigation Department, a subdivision of the Auror Office, Cassian Andor suspects that his work may have been compromised by a spy when an important informant known only to a few goes missing. His last message before he lost contact is one Cassian has yet to share with anyone else; an unfinished paper on a disturbing aspect of magical theory, dated 1962 and signed by Galen Erso. A surname painfully familiar to Cassian, in the form of the girl who was once his best friend, the missing part of him, and is now an allusive woman he has not seen since graduating in ‘73, and hasn’t spoken to since their fallout even earlier than that.
Jyn Erso certainly didn’t suspect it when he shows up in her little shack, imploring her to come with him on a mission unsanctioned by the ministry, to find her missing father and discover what it is about his research Cassian’s source thought vital for him to know.
And so, a Slytherin girl and Hufflepuff boy go rogue, travelling across the country and avoiding Voldemort’s army, to find a father thought long lost and discover a dark secret kept long hidden, that will be of great importance in a battle that lies almost two decades into the future.
Maybe, along the way, they can rediscover each other as well.

How does he put it on when he can’t see his reflection? Somebody else does it. Mostly Angel. “wake the fuck up old man you gotta put my face on” “it’s 3 am” but Angel’s been doing it for years so he’s the go to
Fred used to do it lots too and sometimes she’d wing it and Spike thought it was the best thing ever “now this. this is art” but Illyria doesn’t do it cause she can’t seem to hold the thing without breaking it and that shit’s expensive ok
Gunn tried once. It was a disaster. They don’t talk about it. Lorne has it on video.
Lorne is a fucking God of makeup ok but Spike won’t go to him cause then Lorne’s gonna bring out all the makeup and Spike just wants his eyeliner ok he doesn’t need- wait what’s that brush do
Wesley hates doing it but he’s actually good at it and nobody can figure out why. Turns out Wes had a goth phase. Running from your goth phase is a race you’ll never win Wes. You’ll always be one with the eyeliner.
The summer Buffy was gone, Spike did Dawn’s nails and she did his eyeliner.

i’m reading a very manly 1950s account of a hunt for el dorado but i’m thirty pages in and the narrator has already described his traveling companion as “handsome” 4 times, “extremely handsome” twice, “exceedingly handsome” once, his voice as “quietly husky” and “a husky whisper,” his fingers as long and deft, his body as “tall and cat-like,” and his eyes as some variation of ice-blue at least three times.

Face Claim Diversity Presents: The Face Claims of Color Directory!
Face Claim Diversity is brand spanking new, fresh off the lot, state-of-the-art blog dedicated to providing resources just for face claims of color. For the past few months, I’ve been working on the directory and the themes and I’m ready to show-case it!
The directory is easy to use, features tons of people of color (though it’s still very much a work-in-progress!), has plenty of options to narrow down your search, and has a guide in case you need help. I’ve tried to find lesser-known models, actors, and musicians to feature in the directory, though there still are some familiar faces. When you hover over the pictures, more information will show up.
As time goes on, I will add to the directory. But, since I am in school full-time and work, much of my time is taken up. To make things go faster for me, submit a face claim for me to add if you’d like! Also, if you’re interested, please consider rating the blog so I can make it the best it can be. In case anyone wants some perspective on how utterly random triggers can be. I haven’t lived in a house with a garage door in four-ish years. Right now at this moment, I honestly can’t recall what they sound like, except something metallic moving and rather clanky.
There was one on tv. I wasn’t even paying attention to it, I had my headphones on and was actively trying to tune the show out. My ears picked up on the sound of the garage door, and a jolt of adrenaline shot through my body as I grabbed my laptop and moved to get out of my seat and run to my room.
I realized what happened after about two seconds.
The sound is gone from my ears, but my heart is still racing and I’m waiting for the door to the house to open, to hear the jingling of my mother’s keys and her footsteps moving through the house. My muscles are still tense and I’m fighting the urge to run to my room and stick a board in front of the door.
For years, the sound of a garage door was my warning to pack up what I was doing quickly and retreat to my room if I was out of it.
I can’t remember the sound of the garage door right now, but I can’t tell my brain to stop trying to react to it.
This can be reblogged, if anyone was wondering. I wrote up this post with the intention that hopefully people who read it and didn’t really get triggers would understand a bit.
