hey whats up! im julian, im māori, and this thread is actually really misleading and misinformed!

we didnt have green and blue ink when wet plate photography was common. we only had black, which was quite literally carved into our skin! heres a good response to the actual original thread by someone i follow on twitter:

this is a photo of the second māori king, tāwhiao. his tā moko are entirely visible, and you can see just how intricate and beautiful they were!
