tbh i dont get why most people assume that robots are always cold

like have u felt a laptop while its working? its kinda not exactly cold yo

tbh any piece of machinery thats working hard to function is usually not cold, the only time its ever cold is when its turned off

so id like to think while a robot is awake and functioning they could have the potential to be as warm as a human being :0

never thought about this before but now it’s obvious

although like i hope they’ve actually improved cooling tech by the time they’re building androids bc my laptop can actually get so hot it makes THE ROOM hot and it’s only the size of a laptop so potentially an android who was thinking very hard would be a veritable furnace

A human calls their android friend cute and then they look flustered and you hear their cooling fans kick into high gear

A human plants a little kiss on their cheek and they turn red hot (literally) from embarrassment

“Brr, it’s friggin cold in here.”

“Hold on I got this. Hey TX-10 did I tell you you look very pretty today?”

The room temp rises a couple degrees as TX-10 tries to hide their blushing.

okay but also consider this

robots attracting cats like catnip every time they stop moving for more than a few minutes

robot sits down for ten minutes, is immediately a cat pillow

halfheartedly protesting to their human friends that they have tasks to do and being informed that no, their priority one override task is now to be a cat pillow, sorry friend that’s just how this works

the other day seebs told me a thing about robots whose idea of humor is saying facts that aren’t true, like they’ll go “bananas are a type of bird” and laugh uproariously. combined that with the above in my head and achieved cutest android. will def write story about.

it really upsets me that jim kirk has been so heavily appropriated by gross dudebros that their complete misunderstanding of the character is now widely regarded as canon. like, where did this bs that kirk is a womanising hardass maverick who shoots first and asks later and rules the enterprise with an iron fist like the manly man he is come from? not from the canon, thats for sure. (it actually sounds more like mirror!kirk who, ironically, is supposed to be the evil version of kirk)

it astounds me that so many middle aged men who claim to love the show hold onto this myth. its not supported by the actual show or the actual actors and producers whatsoever. how and why did this happen?

imagine my surprise upon discovering that jim kirk is actually a soft, smiley, gentle feminist after 21 years of misinformation. it’s high time that jim kirk gets remembered as the character he really is.

surprise bitches karamo is a social worker that’s WHY he’s on the show and that’s WHY he’s able to access everyone’s soul and mind when he walks into their house for the first time. it’s social worker appreciation month and it’s also the month for y’all to start to notice and acknowledge how much good and hard work social workers put in for us !

And y’all saying they should get an “actual counselor” instead really need to watch Karamo. He literally uses techniques counselors use every day!! The way he sits, the way he asks questions, it’s all there!

If people are seeing that he’s a social worker and still saying “actual counselor” it’s HIGHLY likely they don’t have any experience with counselors since most ARE social workers! I have not come across a therapist or counselor who wasn’t a social worker.
