a frightened rabbit lyric inspired list

I’ve been wanting to do a prompt list for Frightened Rabbit lyrics because I’m still sad and I’ve been listening to them a lot this weekend. I’ve been trying to find some of my favorite lyrics and others I think make good sentence starters and then make a list that doesn’t lean all toward heartbreak and grief.
Anyway, here’s what I have. Drop a pairing and a prompt in my inbox if you want, and/or feel free to reblog this if it sparks your interest.
1. While I’m alive, I’ll make tiny changes to earth.
2. I still want to be here.
3. You as my horizon line, the star I navigate by.
4. I’ll stick to my guns, but from now on it’s war.
5. It’s been so long since I heard you speak.
6. You are not ill, and I’m not dead. Doesn’t that make us the perfect pair?
7. I hate when I feel like this, and I never hated you.
8. There’s a broken jaw behind the dog-tooth smile.
9. At the end, at the close, would you be good enough to take me home?
10. All our secrets are smothered in dirt, underneath paving stones.
11. Well, I could dip my head in the river, cleanse my soul. I’ll still have the stomach of a sinner, face like an unholy ghost.
12. Am I here? Of course I am, yes. All I need is your hand to drag me out again.
13. Would I change if you carried me back? Oh, oh, yes I would.
14. What do you need, what do you need from me?
15. After months of grieving, fuck the grief, I’m leaving. Will you leave with me?

17. The worn-out beat of a tired heart.
18. Though the corners are lit, the dark can return with the flick of a switch. It hasn’t turned on me yet.
19. I was paler than a pine box that holds bones.
20. Still got hope, so I think we’ll be fine in these disastrous times.
