Bees. Smart enough to push a ball, not smart enough to not be fooled by a stick masquerading as a bee.
maybe they know and they’re just being polite
That’s why behavior is a science people.
Things Being A Beekeeper’s Daughter Has Taught Me: those are different bees. Or one bee, tested weeks apart, because that’s a new identifying dot in a different colour on its back. I’ve never seen that used on anything other than the queen to identify her.
