Such a good point! It’s so bizarre that Rowling decided to make maledictuses strictly female. Like, why does this dumb idea - that I very much doubt you came up with “twenty years” ago - have to be gendered, Jo? WHY. Last I checked, we didn’t need any more influences telling girls and women that their very being (and their blood, oh the menstruation imagery…) carries a curse.
