Wish Hook Week ⚓ Day 1: Rogers/Hyperion Heights, Fave scene
↳ Rogers stays sober (7x07)
Throughout the six seasons Killian Jones has been a part of this show, he has repeatedly made me beyond proud to be a fan. He makes me feel I’ve made the right choice in who my fave is - this scene was one of those proud moments. To see this man, who has struggled with alcoholism for centuries, come so close to giving in to crossing the line of temptation, and then back away, was powerful. It was clear the narrative was heading for a moment like this and I was almost sure he was gonna give in, but yet again Killian proves that he is stronger than even he believes. This scene was one that showed me, even though this isn’t the exact same Killian we had been cheering on for the first five seasons he was here, he’s still the goodhearted, courageous, sometimes misguided man I fell in love with. He sometimes stumbles, often in the biggest ways, but when he fights back, he shows the depth of his strength and devotion in ways without match. Rogers slamming putting the bottle down was a momentous moment in Killian Jones’ narrative. I cheered and cried and once more considered myself lucky to have this character be my favorite.
